  • What's the difference between traditional microneedling and Secret RF?

    Traditional Microneedling

    With this treatment, a specialized device is rolled over the skin to create controlled micro injuries in the form of tiny microscopic punctures along the skin. These minor skin injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process resulting in the production of skin firming proteins like elastin and collagen. Newly developed growth factors work to thicken the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, and stretch marks. Punctures from microneedling can also act as channels for enhanced delivery of topical skin care treatments like hyaluronic acid.


    Secret RF Microneedling

    RF microneedling adds radio frequency (RF) energy to the traditional microneedling technique in order to further stimulate the creation of growth factors. RF microneedling uses specialized “energized” needles to create micro-punctures along the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy through these punctures simultaneously. The addition of radiofrequency energy deep into the dermis amplifies the production of skin improving proteins and enzymes like collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid than traditional microneedling alone. Added RF energy also heats underlayers of the skin which further enhances skin tightening. Secret RF is also extremely customizable, as both needle depth and RF energy intensity can be manipulated to meet the unique needs of each patient.

  • What skin conditions does Secret RF treat?

    The Secret RF treatment is ideal for improving aging skin, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck, scars, acnes scars, skin quality and striae. The treatment is safe and effective, and suitable for all skin types and patients seeking skin revitalization.

  • What can I expect during treatment?

    • Secret RF is a quick and easy procedure that is performed in less than 20 minutes.

    • Prior to the treatment, your provider will apply numbing cream to the treatment area.

    • During the treatment you will feel some light pressure and heat.

    • Most patients find the procedure tolerable and experience minimal discomfort.

  • How long does it take to see results?

    • Results are typically seen after the first treatment, however, more dramatic results are seen after the second treatment. Best results are seen 3 months following the last treatment.

    • Because collagen takes time to regenerate, results continue to improve over time.

    • A series of 3-4 treatments are typically recommended, spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However, the number of treatments depends on the severity of your concerns

    • To maintain results, maintenance treatments are recommended every 12-18 months.

  • What should I expect after treatment?

    • Immediately following the treatment, an ointment or soothing mask will be applied to the skin.

    • You can return to your normal activities immediately.

     • It is recommended that you wait at least 4 hours before washing your face, and refrain from wearing make-up for several hours, allowing your skin to heal.

    • You may experience minor redness or swelling following the treatment, which will subside within 12-24 hours.
